Oconee Baptist Camp... 2025!

Our church teens had the wonderful opportunity to go to a camp several days ago! This was our third year going to Oconee Baptist Camp and I love it for several reasons:

- Good dress standards

These are very important to not only me, but to the leaders of our church. God cares about the way we dress, and it is possible to do activities like kickball, volleyball, dodgeball, and softball while still being modest. You don't have to break away from what pleases God to do that! If you would like to know more about what clothing I wear for these activities, feel free to ask in the comments. : )

- Godly preaching

We heard SO MANY great messages by wonderful men of God this past week! Pastor Terrell Hopkins, Bro. William Davis, and Pastor Justin Cooper are men you NEED to listen to.

- Wonderful music

All the music at Oconee Baptist Camp is uplifting and God-honoring. Especially when all the teens lift up their voices as one and sing some of the old hymns like "It is Well", or "Pass Me not O Gentle Savior".

- Clear, protective guidelines

There are many counselors there that make sure every one is behaving appropriately. I'm also thankful that we have schedules each day filled with fun activities!

Now I'll get to all the fun pictures. : )

Here we are on the way to camp! So grateful for our shuttle bus, which I have named Starcraft 1. (Because why not?)

Here I am making my bed. There are best dorm and best bunk prizes each morning. I even won best bunk for one day!

My youth pastor/brother and youth pastor's wife/sister-in-law playing a game during game time at services. We pointed at them and so they were called up to play. It was awesome!

Some of us under the game tent at a ping pong table. We were making a tin foil ball for some reason with the tin foil wrapped around our hamburgers at lunch. : )

Me and my friend, Hannah, doing sword drills at service time.

Us girls during night service time!

Some of the guys looking drained after boy's flag football. I'm really glad girls don't have get to do that!

All of us before night services. Half of us aren't looking, but hey, that's what happens when you get teens together for a group picture. : )

I know, I know. I look really weird in this photo. But at the moment, I did not care. My forehead was so sunburnt the cool quarters felt awesome. #It's the little things that matter. : )

After every night service, us teens all go around sharing what God put on our hearts during the message. It's always so encouraging!

The very last service! At the pulpit is Pastor Terrell Hopkins preaching about our love for God.

Me taking notes during the preaching.

One of my favorite moments out of every day... altar call time.

I had such a great time at camp! I made many decisions and I am stirred even more to live for God. This is the only chance I get to live for the King of Kings - and my goal is to live it well!
