Oconee Baptist Camp... 2025!

  Our church teens had the wonderful opportunity to go to a camp several days ago! This was our third year going to Oconee Baptist Camp and I love it for several reasons: - Good dress standards These are very important to not only me, but to the leaders of our church. God cares about the way we dress, and it is possible to do activities like kickball, volleyball, dodgeball, and softball while still being modest. You don't have to break away from what pleases God to do that! If you would like to know more about what clothing I wear for these activities, feel free to ask in the comments. : ) - Godly preaching We heard SO MANY great messages by wonderful men of God this past week! Pastor Terrell Hopkins, Bro. William Davis, and Pastor Justin Cooper are men you NEED to listen to.  - Wonderful music All the music at Oconee Baptist Camp is uplifting and God-honoring. Especially when all the teens lift up their voices as one and sing some of the old hymns like "It is Well", or ...

Silas's Trumpet Recital

 Last night our family went to Silas's trumpet recital. He played "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus", and did such a great job! The recital was at the Thomas Center, which was such a beautiful place! Here are several pictures...                     The sort of courtyard with a fountain beside the Thomas Center was perfect for a photo shoot! The inside was gorgeous! Of course I had to bomb a photo. : ) Brenna accompanied him on the piano. They both did a really great job and we are so proud of them!
